The University of Southern Mississippi is seeking qualified candidates for the position of head women's soccer coach. This is a full-time, twelve-month position, beginning July 1, 2008. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, directing all phases of a competitive women's soccer program in accordance with Southern Miss, Conference USA and NCAA rules, regulations and policies, as well as a commitment to student-athlete personal and academic welfare. Duties include recruiting quality student-athletes, scheduling, planning team travel, budgeting, supervising assistant coaches, public relations and fund-raising activities. Qualifications and Experience: bachelor's required, master's preferred. Requirements: Proven successes in coaching, with at least five years of coaching experience, preferably at the Division I level. Knowledge of NCAA and Conference USA rules and regulations; and strong communication skills. Experience working with women student-athletes is highly desirable. |
